About Me:

My name is Gretchen Heinrich and I’m a freelance writer and editor. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Oakland University and I’m a self-published children’s author (check out my Author Website). I’m married and I live in southeast Michigan with my husband and dog. I’ve worked in a variety of industries, including: Parks & Recreation, Health & Fitness, Property Management, and K-12 Education. I enjoy writing, editing, reading, and DIY projects around the house.
What I Do
When I’m not crafting my own creative writing pieces, I proofread, edit, and rewrite copy for individuals and small businesses. Check out my Services for details. I particularly enjoy writing and editing Cover Letters, ‘How To’ Guides, Case Studies, and Business Proposals to help my clients achieve their personal and professional goals.
Why I’m Better Than A.I.
Artificial Intelligence, while new and exciting, uses existing patterns and content (dare I say clichés) to construct your voice. It lacks understanding, originality, and the necessary emotional intelligence to connect with your reader. In short… it’s a cheap knockoff and you deserve better!
It’s In The Name!
looking glass (n.) – a mirror
mirror (n.) – 1. a polished or smooth surface that forms images by reflection; 2. Something that gives a true representation.
Writing with purpose and clarity is hard. Not everyone has the talent for it, but I get such a thrill out of helping people find their voice that I’ve built an entire business around it! Looking Glass Copywriting was designed to reflect my client and my clients goals. I’m here to help you and… I’m just going to say it… I’m good at what I do.
So reach out and ask me how I can help you!

Line Edits: I will conduct a line-by-line review of your text to ensure voice, style, and tone consistency.
Rewrites: I will rewrite and improve your text when needed.
Proofreading: I will review, correct and revise the text to ensure it is grammatically correct and free of typos.
You will receive the final edited copy delivered in a Microsoft Word document (.docx) with Track Changes showing exactly what was edited.
Collaboration Stage:
Revisions: After completing the edits, I offer my clients the opportunity to submit feedback and critiques. This is a very important part of the process. Without feedback, I don’t know whether the changes I made exceeded your expectations or fell short. So, if for any reason you’re dissatisfied, please use this collaboration stage to your advantage and work with me to get the most out of our time together.
Three (3) rounds of revisions are included with my editing services. If further revisions are requested/needed, clients will be asked to pay an additional $50 for each additional round of revision.
During the collaboration stage, I ask that clients respond promptly with their feedback (within 48 hours) so that the project can be completed in a timely manner.
