What?  I proofread, edit, and rewrite text to suit individual and small business needs and goals. Check out the Services link for details.

When?  Two weeks maximum turnaround, typically no more than a few days.

How?  You can expect your final edited copy delivered in a Microsoft Word document (.docx) with Track Changes showing exactly what was edited. Check out the About link for more information about my process.

How much?  $100 per project (1,000 words or less). I charge by the project, not the hour. If you need more than 1,000 words edited, contact me for a custom quote.

Why?  The average person is not a “wordsmith” and can often lack the ability to convey their talents and professional prowess in writing, limiting growth and advancement. Small businesses can also struggle if they don’t have the means (or a marketing department) to polish and proof their messaging to stand apart from their competition or achieve their organizational goals. That’s where I come in.

I am very much a “wordsmith,” and for me developing a well written piece of copy is like building a house with your bare hands: it can be a long, arduous (and sometimes painful) process, but it’s also immensely satisfying when the job is done. However, compared to everything I have ever written, the greatest satisfaction I’ve ever gained from constructing a house of words has been from helping someone else find their voice (fix their house) and achieve their goals.
